Lumina Imaging and Diagnostics is pleased to introduce Dr. Vikas Jain as our new Medical Director.

PROVIDING HOSPITAL-GRADE IMAGING IN AN ATMOSPHERE FOCUSED ON CONVENIENT AND PLEASANT PATIENT EXPERIENCE REQUIRES A UNIQUE VISION.

To continue that mission, Lumina Imaging and Diagnostics is pleased to introduce Dr. Vikas Jain as our new Medical Director.

“I came to work for Lumina because they are committed to making imaging more human,” said Jain. “Lumina is the future of medical imaging because we manage to combine all the tools you would find in a hospital with an elevated patient experience.”

Dr. Jain chose to work for Lumina because he is committed to access to high-quality imaging for every person.

“I have found in my 20 year career as a radiologist that visiting a hospital for outpatient diagnostic imaging is generally not a pleasant patient experience,” said Jain. “You have to find parking, navigate a hospital, and wait–all of which can be overwhelming for people and perhaps discourage them from seeking imaging or screening.”

In Lumina, Dr. Jain found the promise of something a little different. With a convenient mobile app for check-in that allows patients to receive their imaging service on time without dealing with a crowded waiting room, Lumina’s facilities often make patients feel like they’re receiving a boutique service: all for a much lower cost than hospital imaging centers. Convenience and low, transparent costs allow all patients to get the imaging they need so their doctors can move forward with their care. And sinceLumina is committed to high quality imaging read by fellowship-trained radiologists and residents in under 24 hours, patients and providers know they can get the answers they need quickly.

“I came to work for Lumina because they are committed to making imaging more human,” said Jain. “Lumina is the future of medical imaging because we manage to combine all the tools you would find in a hospital with an elevated patient experience.”

“We serve as the eyes and ears of doctors,”said Jain. “Lumina is the future of imaging: a freestanding imaging center that produces quality imaging in a less stressful environment, all in locations that are convenient for patients.”

Vikas also serves as the Assistant Program Director of the radiology residency program at The MetroHealth System, as well as his role as associate professor in the department of radiology at CaseWestern Reserve University School of Medicine. He hopes to use this background and knowledge to expand Lumina’s relationship with providers.

“Ultimately, Lumina wants to become part of a patient’s team of providers, taking over the administrative burden from providers and making the process easy for patients,” said Vikas. “By working collaboratively with patients and providers, we can make sure each person gets the imaging and diagnostic testing they need on their journey to health.”
